Troop 61 is a unit of Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) based in Belmont-Redwood Shores, California. Our youth-led troop seeks to promote a sense of fun, adventure, community service, and respect for the outdoors and our environment, give all youth a broad set of life skills, and foster their leadership skills. We plan for monthly activities such as camping and backpacking, a Summer camp, high-adventure trips, and hiking in the Northern California area. Our Scouts BSA unit is guided by trained adults, providing opportunity for challenge, responsibility, and leadership. Troop 61 welcomes youth ages 11-17. The program for younger youth is Cub Scouts.
