Join Troop 61 

If you’re interested in joining us, or even just considering it, please come and visit one of our Troop meetings. We have a Co-Ed Family Troop that has an incredible Scout-led Scouting Program. Contact our Committee Chair Kathleen (kathleenbouttefoster AT yahoo DOT com) and ask when and where our next meeting is.

Troop 61 is led by our Scouts and their Patrol Leader's Council. We focus on variety and encouraging our Scouts (boys and girls) to learn and experience different things. We foster leadership and real-world skills through a variety of activities: community service, camping, hiking, high adventure, leadership training, and a variety of fun activities like escape rooms to go kart racing. Our meetings are generally held the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 7 PM until 8:30 PM at Sandpiper Middle School Elective A&B classrooms and occasionally at the American Legion Post 585 event room in San Carlos.

  • Make sure to choose Youth or Adult Application and that it says American Legion Post 585 at the top
• Please note that the online application will includes the District and Council fees. Troop fees are billed through the troop directly.
• We are always in need of adults who are willing to help drive, attend campouts, help at meetings or with merit badges. To register as adult, you will also need to complete Youth Protection Training and CA State Mandated AB506 Reporter Training
